Please read important information below for both the requirements for participants and registration payments.

All conference attendees must be ages 18 and over, unless the participating students are currently a dually enrolled high school who are either acommunity college students or a four-year college students in Maryland.

The following must be provided for each registrant: Title for name tag, Full name, email address, pronouns for name tag (optional), dietary requirements, college or institution name, a free print program or a free digital program is preferred, a free travel mug is requested or not, and if the registrant is presenting at the Conference or not.

Registration Information

What is the window of registration for the Conference?
The Conference recommends all participants to register as soon as registration window opens. The registration will open on Monday, January 30th and will close at 11:59 PM on Thursday, March 28th. The late registration will be accepted till 4 PM on Friday, April 7th.

What is the early registration fee if registered and paid thru Friday, March 1st (11:59 PM)? Early registration has passed.
(a) Students: $10.00
(b) Adjunct college faculty/ Part-time staff: $30.00
(c) Full-time college faculty/staff: $40.00
(d) Four-year colleagues: $40.00
(e) Guests: $40.00. The Conference welcomes guests who are supporters of the Conference, presenters and/or attendees.

What is the regular registration fee if registered and paid between Saturday, March 2nd thru Thursday, March 28th (11:59 PM)? Regular registration has passed.
(a) Students: $15.00
(b) Adjunct college faculty/ Part-time staff: $40.00
(c) Full-time college faculty/staff: $50.00
(d) Four-year colleagues: $50.00
(e) Guests: $50.00. The Conference welcomes guests who are supporters of the Conference, presenters and/or attendees.

What is the late registration fee if registered and paid between Friday, March 29th thru Wednesday, April 17th (11:59 PM) ? Late registration has passed.
Please note that late registration does not guarantee the free giveaways and the choice of food. The Conference will do its best to accommodate everyone . However, it needs to be noted that all giveaways and food requests are to be submitted to the vendors by the Conference on March 29th early morning.
(a) Students: $20.00
(b) Adjunct college faculty/ Part-time staff: $65.00
(c) Full-time college faculty/staff: $80.00
(d) Four-year colleagues: $80.00
(e) Guests: $80.00. The Conference welcomes guests who are supporters of the Conference, presenters and/or attendees.

Community colleges, four-year colleges and vendors who sponsor at any of the levels that is listed on the Sponsors and Vendors website page will have select free registrations depending on the sponsorship level. However, all participants who will be attending must complete registration form in addition to sponsorship form for auditing purposes and headcount.

Four-year colleges who do not wish to sponsor do have an alternative route of securing tables at the Conference with Table Reservation with two free registrations. More information is available on the Sponsors and Vendors website page.

Who can register and attend/participate in this year’s Conference?
Anyone who is interested in STEM and/or STEM education can attend the Conference as long as they are registered and paid the registration fees. For example:
Students:
(a) STEM high school seniors who are dually enrolled students
(b) community college students
(c) four-year college students who are presenting at the Conference.
All students must be ages of 18 years old or over with the exception of high school dually enrolled students who are currently enrolled at a community college or at four-year college in Maryland.

Faculty and Staff:
(a) STEM faculty and STEM staff from high schools and community colleges
(b) Faculty and staff at the four-year colleges who are presenting at the Conference
(c) Staff from the Admissions and Transfer Offices of community colleges and four-year colleges

Representative of Vendors in Higher Education supporting community colleges:
Representative of vendors who will be staffing at their exhibition tables.

Guests:
The Conference welcomes guests who are supporters of the Conference, presenters and/or attendees. Guests must be age 18 years old or over.


I submitted a proposal. Do I have to complete the registration form?
Yes! The Conference is requiring all participants including all presenters to register for the Conference.

My organization is a financial sponsor for this year’s Conference. Do I have to complete the registration form?
The Conference is requiring all participants including all presenters to register for the Conference. If your organization is a sponsor and no representatives will be attending to participate in the exhibition tables at the Conference, you do not have to register. All registrants whose registration fee is covered by sponsorship must register by Thursday, March 28th (11:59 PM).


How do I pay my Registration Fee?
Non-refundable registration payments can be made in two ways. Before making any payments, please do make sure to complete the online Registration Form (see the link above)
1) Online Registration System: You can pay your registration fees with a credit card when you are registering for the conference through the online system. If your payment is being taken care of by sponsorship, please do request the contact person making the sponsorship payment to provide you a discount code which you will need to type during the payment process of the registration.

2) Checks: Please write checks to "Carroll Community College" and please make sure to write "Maryland Collegiate STEM Conference" in the memo field of the check and send it to Dr. Raza Khan, Division Chairperson of Sciences, Carroll Community College, 1601 Washington Road, Westminster, MD 21157. Please know that the College is closed for Spring Break from Saturday, March 16th - Sunday, March 24th. Please do make sure to include the name of the participant if the person writing the check is not the same. Please do not send cash payment by mail.

No registration payments via cash or checks will be accepted on-site on the Conference day.


Registration Grant Request Form: Potential participants who can not pay the registration fees

Maryland Collegiate STEM Conference’s Organizing Committee doesn’t want the cost of the 2024 Conference to limit anyone’s participation. The Conference has limited funds available to help defray the costs of the conference registration for interested potential participants. Please fill out the online form no later than Monday, March 25”. This grant, if approved, will only waive the registration fees of the 2024 Conference.
