What are the formats of presentation at the Conference?
The timings of the presentations will be listed in the Conference Program and sent to presenters. The time blocks listed below include time for Q&A. Oral presentations will be in rooms with access to a computer workstation with screen. The presenters have the following choices for delivering their presentations:

a) 15 minutes Student(s) Primary Research Presentation - For students who have completed research and are ready to share results. Literature reviews will be considered only if they include a fully developed methodology or proposal for an experiment or study, real or hypothetical.

b) 30 minutes Student-Focused Presentation – Presentations that focus on professional development skills and opportunities for STEM students

c) 30 minutes Faculty-Focused Presentation - Presentations that focus on research related to pedagogy or innovative teaching techniques, sharing how to develop student-centered STEM programs, addressing social issues in the classroom and research.

d) Poster Presentations – Posters will be on display during the entirety of the conference, with dedicated times for the presenter to present next to the poster. Posters should focus on one of the areas listed above in (a)-(c). Literature reviews will not be accepted. Vendors and 4-year transfer institutions must use the dedicated exhibition space, outlined below in (e). Posters should be no larger than 36” x 48” printed on a single sheet of paper. The conference will provide mounting hardware to pin your poster.

e) Exhibition Tables for Colleges and Vendors - Tables will be available the entire day where vendors and transfer advisors for both community colleges and four-year colleges will be visible for all the participants. The Conference will highly encourage all participants to visit various tables during a set time in the program. Please visit the Sponsors and Vendors page for more information.

Are literature review proposals accepted by the Conference?
Literature reviews will be considered only if they include a fully developed methodology or proposal for an experiment or study, real or hypothetical.

Is there any fee to present at the Conference?
There is no fee for presentations themselves, but there is a fee to register for the conference in general. All presenters must register for the conference. Registration fees and sign-up can be found on the Registration page.

When will I hear about the decision of my proposal submission?
All efforts will be made to inform proposers of their proposal’s status in a timely fashion, however turn-around time may be longer than a week due to the number of proposals received. An electronic copy of the Conference Program will be available on the Conference website by 5 PM on Saturday, March 30th.
